AAOC successfully completed the design-build development if the Jamestown Public Works Government Facility, a 15,600 square foot building that serves as a key hub for the town’s public works operations. The project involved comprehensive planning, design and construction, ensuring that the facility meets the needs of the local government while adhering to the highest standards of functionality and efficiency.
AACC was awarded the contract to construct a ground up 8,700 Sq. Ft. building for NOAA to serve as the home port of their research ship the “Okeanos Explorer”. Located on a manmade peninsula, the project required special dewatering operations to complete the site work and foundations below sea level. The building features offices, conference rooms, storage warehouse, and a technical workshop where robotic submarines are maintained and altered for various underwater uses. The Okeanos docks at piers that were once part of the Quonset Naval Air Station and the original home of the Naval Construction Seabees.
