Description:

Medical device component manufacturer Cadence engaged AACC in order to renovate their existing 43,280 Sq. Ft. facility and construct a 33,500 Sq. Ft. addition in Cranston, RI. The project required AACC to develop a multi-phased schedule and logistics plan in order avoid disruptions to their ongoing operations. Phase one began with the construction of a 300 vehicle parking lot, shipping and receiving area expansion that allowed for the addition to be constructed. AACC provided an extensive study of four possible schemes prepared for this project. The service was part of a hybrid Construction Management / Design Build approach that also included costs, energy efficiency, schedule, and logistics analysis. The project team fast tracked the project by early releasing and pre-ordering of long lead work packages such as the structural steel and mechanical equipment. The created an architecturally stunning high tech manufacturing Facility capable of meeting the strictest environmental standards required for medical device manufacturing.
